Stephen Bentley - President and CEO
Stephen has a career spanning over 25 years in the field of software development. He earned his BSc degree in Computer Information Systems at the age of 20. He studied software engineering and established many industry standards and procedures for both large and small companies. Before co-founding QuoteBurst with Bruce in 2007, he has worked at IBM, United Technologies, and GTE (now Verizon) where he won their highest technical achievement award in 1994. He also developed an automated scheduling/room control system for the US Navy.
He is married with three daughters and lives in Canton, GA.
Tim McAteer - Chief Technology Officer
Tim was bit by the coding bug in high school, and has been writing software ever since. After graduating from Auburn University in 1994 with a degree in Management Information Systems; he has worked in the healthcare, education, collections, and telecommunication industries, with custom software running in banks and hospitals in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Malaysia, and Australia. He helped QuoteBurst develop the main framework that all of its offerings are based on, and became the CTO of the company in March 2010.
Tim is a huge football fan, particularly the Auburn Tigers.
Mustafa Basgun - VP of Product Development
Mustafa is responsible for the technology strategy and product delivery at QuoteBurst. He has over 10 years of professional software development experience focusing on web and mobile application development. Prior to joining QuoteBurst, he worked at Verizon Wireless, MCI WorldCom, ComputerEx, and Sebit. Mustafa holds a BSc in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University and an MBA from Southern Polytechnic State University. He has also received an SCPD degree in Information Technology from Stanford University in 2007.
He lives in Alpharetta, GA with his wife and son.
Bruce Thompson - VP of Sales and Marketing
At the ripe age of 10, Bruce began his first business venture by marketing the unused milk from the family farm to the school bus drivers. After attending Montana State University on a wrestling scholarship, Bruce put his Business Management and Marketing degree to use by starting an automatic swimming pool cover business in the SE United States. Within 10 years, it grew to be the largest swimming pool cover business in the region. After serving on the management team at Home Depot for 5 years, Bruce turned back to his entrepreneurial desires. In 2007, he opened The Thompson Group and also co-founded QuoteBurst with Stephen.
The utilization and implementation of QuoteBurst propelled The Thompson Group into a Top Agency in the first 9 months. The company earned the Chairman's Circle Award in 2007 and the Inner Circle Award in 2008 and 2010 as well as being honored as The Rookie of the Year. Additionally, Bruce was asked to present the principles and philosophy of QuoteBurst in Las Vegas at the Leader's Forum in 2009.
Bruce is very active in his local and regional community. He serves as the Head of Personnel for First Baptist Cartersville, an Etowah Scholarship Foundation Board Member, 2011-2012 Chair of Cartersville Bartow Chamber of Commerce, and a 2010-2011 Advisor to the Georgia State Insurance Commissioner.
Bruce and his wife Becky reside in White Georgia with their 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son.
